The Principal Electrical Engineer focuses on primary plant design for HV substations, providing engineering design input, developing specifications, conducting tender evaluations, and supporting construction activities.

Lead the design and technical delivery of HV substations for data centre clients. Oversee multi-disciplinary teams, ensure project timelines, maintain safety standards, and mentor junior engineers.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will design and manage HV substation projects, provide engineering input for renewable energy projects, and work with clients in Ireland and abroad on infrastructure projects.

Lead and manage programme scheduling for complex multi-project infrastructure programmes, establish schedule governance and QA, produce executive reporting, integrate multiple schedule inputs, drive continuous improvement, and lead scheduling teams to support programme controls and informed decision-making.

Lead reporting for a large infrastructure programme: develop templates and processes, produce weekly/monthly/quarterly reports and dashboards, govern reporting frameworks, maintain KPIs, ensure integrated, accurate reporting across finance, risk and delivery, and manage and coach a team of reporting analysts to deliver decision-ready insights.

Lead and manage project-wide interface activities across lifecycle phases, developing logistics, construction integration, and security strategies. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure scope, schedule, budget, HSSEQ compliance, and successful delivery. Provide technical guidance, manage interface agreements, oversee site security systems, and support project management processes to enable seamless cross-functional integration and acceptance of completed works.

Manage planning, coordination, and delivery of enabling works (site preparation, utility diversions, demolition, surveys) ensuring safety, budget, schedule, quality, stakeholder engagement, contract administration, and smooth transition into main construction.

Support the Performance Reporting Lead by maintaining reporting frameworks, defining KPIs, coordinating data collection/validation, producing performance reports and visualisations, tracking milestones, and supporting risk mitigation and continuous improvement across an infrastructure programme.

Lead project controls for large infrastructure programmes: establish baselines, manage cost/schedule/risk, oversee monthly reviews, change control, reporting, resource allocation, governance, and mentor project controllers to improve tools and processes.

Support commercial contract lifecycle for infrastructure projects: draft, review, maintain contracts; manage contract records and systems; monitor milestones, compliance, risks and performance; liaise with stakeholders, support negotiations, invoicing, and reporting.
