We are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects across Europe, equating to over 500 MW of IT load in flight.

We are seeking a technically capable and commercially minded Tax Assistant (Senior Associate / Assistant Manager level) to join our in house tax function. This is a broad, multi disciplinary tax role focused on research and its practical application, scenario modelling, standardisation, governance, and the development of a robust internal tax control framework.

Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager and working closely with the Finance Director, you will play a key role in strengthening tax governance, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring appropriate documentation and controls are maintained across the group.

Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Tax Research, Planning & Analysis

• Conduct tax research on domestic and international matters to support business initiatives and strategic decisions.

• Prepare tax simulations, scenario analyses, and planning models to support forecasting, budgeting and strategic structuring.

• Develop and maintain supporting computations and internal working papers.

Process, Controls & Documentation

• Support the design, enhancement and documentation of the tax control framework, including RACI matrices, process maps, governance procedures and compliance calendars.

• Identify control gaps and process inefficiencies, and work with finance teams on remediation plans where required.

• Maintain structured document libraries covering legal entity structures, intercompany agreements, transfer pricing files and key tax positions.

Tax Governance & Oversight

• Oversee tax compliance activities performed by local finance team ensuring outputs are complete, accurate and aligned with group tax positions.

• Coordinate review of adviser reports and tax authority correspondence, supporting next step planning and issue management.

• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments (e.g. Pillar 2, e invoicing, CBAM) and summarise impacts for senior tax and finance leadership.

Cross Functional Coordination

• Act as a first point of contact through the tax mailbox for tax related queries from wider business.

• Coordinate with external advisers to ensure quality, consistency and efficient use of advisory resources.

• Support tax considerations in cross functional initiatives, including new market entry and operational changes.


Requirements

• Qualified or part qualified tax and accounting professional (CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent).

• 3–5 years’ experience in practice or in house with exposure to multi jurisdiction tax issues.

• Strong tax grounding with broad interest across VAT, employment tax and international considerations. Global mobility experience an advantage.

• Ability to synthesise technical guidance, oversee adviser work, and support process and control improvements.

• Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

• Experience working with finance teams across multiple jurisdictions or in a fast paced, international environment.
