Autodesk Fusion Manufacturing is looking for a passionate and experienced Software Development Engineer to join a team of software engineers to support, enhance and continuously deliver Nesting and Fabrication functionality in Autodesk Fusion.
We are looking for candidates who enjoy collaborating within and without an agile team. Who have a passion for crafting clean, readable code and encourage others to do the same. Who research, collaborate, design, and implement a plan for each software challenge they face.
Requirements
- Strong software development skills, with proficiency in one or more of OOP languages such as C++/Objective-C, Java, Kotlin, Swift, and C# with preference for C++. Excellent debugging, testing, and technical reasoning skills. You have 2+ years of software engineering experience working in software development teams.
- 1+ years of experience developing using C++ while working on a medium-sized desktop application or system that required regular releases, continued support, and maintenance.
- Good communication and people skills - you need to be comfortable communicating with many different people in the business and to be able to explain complex technical systems and processes in simple terms.
- Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge and methodologies.
- BS, MS or PhD – Engineering or Computer Science is a typical qualification, but we are open to candidates who took other paths to the world of software engineering.
Responsibilities – what you will do
- Work in an Agile software development team reporting to a SW Development Manager.
- Write clean, reliable code and apply SOLID principles in different languages and technologies: C++/Qt, Python, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS.
- Develop and maintain unit tests; aim to automate testing as much as possible.
- Collaborate within and outside of the team, bringing new ideas and challenging the status quo.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure new code conforms to standards.
- Understand, embrace, and promote Agile methodologies and values within the team.
- Use source control and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub, Jenkins, Chef, AWS, and related technologies.

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location.
