We are growing our Product Data Management (PDM) team in Croatia and are looking for the right individuals to join us and help us change the future of manufacturing. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer with experience in developing cloud backend services. You will be working with a team that develops and maintains services that support data management operations for Fusion product group such as Fusion Desktop and Fusion Team. You will be involved in efforts to deliver and support services, integrations, and REST APIs to meet the growing Data Management needs of our customers.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively on an Agile scrum team and actively participate in all Agile ceremonies
- Deliver work according to the quality standards and industry best practices and internal policies (CI/CD, testing, documentation, automation, code reviews)
- Be accountable for the optimal running of the service and providing quick and reliable support to other teams that depend on the service (e.g. On call)
- Work with PO and team to define and break down and estimate work that needs to be delivered
- Develop and outline architecture and relationships between subsystems and participate in review of those designs
- Proactively and continuously evaluate and address issues related to performance, stability, scalability, and extensibility of the system
- Perform root cause analysis using logging tools, stack traces, thread dumps and propose mitigating actions
- Practice continuous learning and actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions as a presenter and as an attendee
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in backend development using Java, Spring, Spring Boot developing RESTful API web services, distributed systems and scalable microservices
- Experience utilizing automated testing tools and frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito and Cucumber
- Candidate should have clarity of Design Patterns, OOPS Principles, SOLID Principles and as well as in-depth understanding of design paradigms in Cloud Services
- Hands-on Experience working with AWS stack such as ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, AWS Secrets manager
- Hands-on Experience working with containers (Docker, K8s)
- Hands-on Experience with Relational database technologies e.g., MySQL
- Hands-on experience with object caching technologies such as Redis or Memcashed
- Demonstrated ability to pick up new programming languages, tools, and design patterns as needed
- Should be Passionate, adaptable, flexible, independent and self-motivated individual who is ready to take initiative and ownership of projects
Preferred Qualifications
- On hands experience with logging or monitoring tools such as Kibana, Splunk, Grafana
- Hands on experience troubleshooting complex distributed systems and microservice environments, trace calls and analyse issues using logging tools, stack traces and thread dumps
