Senior Revenue Accountant

As the Senior Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for performing accurate and timely procedures related to revenue recognition and financial reporting. You will assist with a variety of tasks relating to the recording of revenue and deferred revenue, monthly account reconciliations, variance analysis, as well as assist in ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed. You will be responsible for conducting and maintaining processes that are efficient, transparent, and result in the production of accurate financial statement results. The Senior Revenue Accountant works under the general direction of the Manager, Technical Revenue Accounting and other senior team members.

Role Responsibilities

  • Perform contract reviews and prepare related revenue schedules to verify subscription contracts have been accurately recorded
  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end bookings order process, including accurately booking customer orders, processing purchase orders (POs) and aligning them with contractual terms, ensuring completeness and compliance with internal policies
  • Participate in all aspects of the revenue month-end close process, including creating journal entries, performing reconciliations, & reporting schedule preparation
  • Assist with the analysis of contracts provided by sales and their impact on revenue recognition
  • Analyzes monthly SaaS revenue by customer
  • Work with cross-functional teams (billing, technical accounting, reporting, sales, legal, product), to maintain an understanding of the company products and programs (new and existing) and their impact on revenue the application of ASC 606
  • Interface with external auditors on revenue-related issues.
  • Commitment to and consistent demonstration of core company values

Preferred Qualifications

  • Mix of previous Big 4 and industry experience (2-4 years) with ASC 606 background
  • Experience with Intacct, Salesforce a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Strong business and analytic acumen, including problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, drive projects to completion and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to shifting company or team goals

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-3 years relevant experience (public accounting, industry, or mix)
  • Experience with software/SaaS revenue recognition under ASC 606
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel Skills (basic pivot tables, lookup formulas, IF formulas)

This Is a hybrid role with an expectation to be In the Boston HQ (In Seaport) 3 days a week.
