This role provides technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle, ensuring best practices, architectural consistency, and high-quality delivery aligned with business objectives.
This position will drive front-end architecture decisions, mentor developers, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable enterprise solutions.
Major Activities:
- Lead the design and development of complex, scalable Angular applications using modern best practices and design patterns.
- Define and implement front-end architecture standards, coding guidelines, and reusable component strategies.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a strong focus on performance, security, and scalability.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to architectural standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to intermediate and junior developers.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX/UI designers, DevOps, QA, and backend teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex technical issues across environments.
- Participate in solution design, technical estimation, and sprint planning activities.
- Drive CI/CD best practices in collaboration with DevOps teams.
- Optimise application performance, including lazy loading, state management, and change detection strategies.
- Ensure application security best practices including authentication, authorisation, and data protection standards.
- Maintain and evolve technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and development standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across tools, frameworks, and development processes.
- Participate in deployment planning and production release activities.
Knowledge:
The knowledge/skills required to perform this role are:
- BSc. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 6+ years of hands-on Angular development experience in enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated ability to design scalable front-end solutions for complex business applications.
- Experience mentoring developers and contributing to technical leadership within a team.
- Strong expertise in Angular (latest versions preferred) including:
- RxJS and reactive programming
- State management (NgRx or similar)
- Angular CLI and build optimization
- Component architecture and modular design
- Advanced proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and preprocessors such as LESS/SASS.
- Strong experience integrating and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
- Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques in SPA applications.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency with Git version control and branching strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities.
- High level of ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work independently and lead initiatives with minimal supervision.
