About the Team
Workday is a market leader in enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources. We help organisations of all sizes thrive by providing them with the tools to plan, execute, analyse, and extend their businesses. Our Business Development team is the talent and pipeline engine of our Go-To-Market function, creating the initial spark that drives meaningful customer relationships and revenue growth.About the Role
This is a pivotal leadership position for a hands-on, frontline leader ready to build, manage, and inspire a high-performing team of Business Development Representatives in Dublin. You'll provide the vision and strategy needed to exceed pipeline generation quotas and drive Workday's long-term growth.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will be directly responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of your team. Your key duties include:
Lead & Develop the Team: Coach, mentor, and grow a team of BDRs. You will also lead the hiring process to recruit top talent and sustain the team’s rapid growth.
Define & Execute Strategy: Develop and refine the outbound pipeline generation strategy, including identifying target accounts, optimising messaging, and leveraging multi-channel outreach including AI.
Manage Performance: Own and manage the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that track team activity and efficiency, and build repeatable systems to ensure a consistent, scalable pipeline.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with senior leaders in Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align on programs and optimise the end-to-end sales process.
Be a Cultural Leader: Foster an inclusive, fun and high-performance environment that is deeply aligned with Workday's mission and values.
Innovate & lead through change: proactively identify opportunities for improvement across your team and organisation and own the execution, implementation and change process.
About You
We're searching for a proven leader with a strong track record of success in sales development and/or Sales. The qualifications and experience we're looking for include:
Basic Qualifications
2 years experience in a BDR/SDR management role, preferably within a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
2 years prior experience in a closing role (e.g., Account Executive)
Other Qualifications
A track record of exceeding targets and demonstrating career advancement.
Proven ability to train and mentor early-in-career sales talent and advance them into more senior sales roles.
A data-driven mindset with the ability to forecast accurately and build strategies based on performance insights.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to influence stakeholders and deliver presentations.
Proactive and action-oriented, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives.
Proficiency with key sales technology, including Salesforce, Sales Navigator, Clari Groove and Slack.
