The Opportunity

As a Project Manager you will be managing the execution of medium-size projects or project portfolio and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy, contractual arrangements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Manage the project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones. 

  • Defines, jointly with the Project Controls department, all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans.

  • Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and Hitachi Energy policies. Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization. Ensure consistent reporting through project reviews with management team. Captures, study and shares lessons learned and best practices throughout the project. Ensures that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed. 

  • Ensures that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with Hitachi Energy policies and contractual arrangements.  Coordinates with Supply Chain Management, and successfully procures required services, materials and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers.  

  • Acts as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. 

  • Ensures the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies. 

  • Accountable for ensuring compliance with applicable external & internal regulations, procedures & guidelines.

Your background:

  • Engineering Degree (Bachelor’s/Master’s) with strong technical foundation.

  • 5+ years in Project Management of medium-sized EPC projects, including on-site construction experience in multinational environments.

  • Proven expertise in Electrical Systems (T&D, Power Generation) and familiarity with major Italian utilities (Terna, Enel, Edison).

  • Skilled in managing projects under diverse contractual frameworks (FIDIC, Italian Public Contracts Code) across public and private sectors.

  • Fluent in English and Italian, proficient in MS Office, SAP, and MS Project.

  • Highly organized, proactive leader with experience coordinating multi-site teams and driving results; willing to travel internationally (≈25%).

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:

  • Starting from: 52,700 € gross annual

The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
