We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Summary:

Lead UK credit policy governance, partnering with Enterprise Credit, Compliance, and Legal to update policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and document changes aligned to local requirements. Monitor policy execution, log breaches and resolutions, and validate portfolio-level credit risk appetite reviews.
Conduct Credit Risk Assessments, Business Impact Analyses, and Business Continuity activities, and support internal and external audits.
Contribute to UK credit risk appetite, KRIs, and oversight frameworks. Analyse business trends to inform decisions, embed risk in new products and change initiatives, oversee risk event reporting, and provide independent challenge to first-line risk management to drive continuous improvement.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Identify issues and recommend best practices for risk management within the organization.
  • Lead functional projects and programs that enhance risk assessment and mitigation efforts.
  • Collaborate with teams to analyze business trends and their implications for risk management.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance the effectiveness of risk management strategies.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members in executing risk management initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

Lead, UK Credit Policy & Risk Governance (SLOD)

  • Lead PayPal UK credit policy SLOD governance, partnering with SLOD Enterprise Credit, Compliance, and Legal to maintain and enhance policies in line with regulatory and local market requirements.
  • Oversee FLOD policy execution, including breach identification, resolution tracking, and validation of portfolio-level credit risk appetite reviews.
  • Conduct Credit Risk Assessments, Business Impact Analyses, and Business Continuity planning; support internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to the development of PayPal UK credit risk appetite, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and governance frameworks.
  • Analyse business trends to inform risk-based decision-making and embed robust risk practices into new products and change initiatives.
  • Oversee risk event reporting and provide independent challenge to first-line risk management to drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify risk management gaps and recommend best practices to strengthen PayPal organisational controls.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance risk assessment and mitigation capabilities.
  • Support and guide teams in executing effective risk management strategies and process improvements.
