What’s the opportunity?We're looking for a hands-on product engineering leader to help us grow and lead high-caliber engineering teams who ship reliable, well-architected software in a regulated domain. This leader will work with their teams to continuously improve how they build and deliver a product, using industry best practices to ensure consistent quality and velocity. You'll set a high bar for delivery, communicate clearly on commitments, and remove the blockers that slow your team down.
What will I be doing?- Build and lead a high-performing engineering team, setting a high technical bar and mentoring engineers to grow their craft and ownership
- Execute on product strategy to deliver high quality products
- Define and enforce engineering standards — code quality, testing practices, system reliability, that raise the bar across the team
- Partner with Product and other leaders to shape the roadmap based on technical feasibility, quality tradeoffs, and engineering capacity
- Use delivery metrics and product data to identify where to invest in engineering quality, process improvements, and customer outcomes.
- Drive the engineering perspective throughout the product lifecycle, from shaping concepts through to production
- Engage directly with customers to diagnose technical issues, understand workflows, and translate that into concrete engineering decisions
- Experience in B2B SaaS companies with a proven track record of building applications and technology that delight and engage customers and foster growth.
- You have 2+ years of engineering management experience in high-growth engineering organizations
- Proven experience growing engineers through technical mentorship, code review culture, and direct customer exposure
- You have built and shipped SaaS products at scale and understand the engineering tradeoffs that affect product quality and velocity
- You have a strong engineering background and can engage credibly on technical decisions, code quality, and product architecture with your team
- Able to communicate technical decisions and tradeoffs clearly to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable engaging directly with customers to understand technical pain points and translate them into engineering priorities
- Actively use and champion AI-assisted development tools within your team's workflow
- Experience working with Cloud platforms e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure
