About the roleAs our Key Account Manager, you will:
- Take ownership of major retail accounts across Ireland and Northern Ireland, delivering against volume and value KPIs to drive market share growth.
- Develop and implement annual account plans that set out strategic objectives for both Dyson and the retailer.
- Plan and manage promotional activities, working within approved A&P budgets.
- Use forecasting tools like Anaplan to maintain accurate sales and promotional plans, ensuring full visibility across the business.
- Analyse retailer profitability and track margins, using data to inform decisions.
- Maximise shopper experience through outstanding in-store and digital execution, ensuring new product launches meet high standards.
- Provide regular updates and tools to the field team, collaborating with Regional and Business Development Managers to ensure strong activation and compliance.
- Build strong relationships with retailer contacts, delivering compelling presentations and holding regular meetings to drive mutual success.
- Organise and deliver Quarterly Business Reviews involving senior leadership from both Dyson and the retailer.
- Partner with internal departments to execute customer initiatives and supply chain efficiencies, ensuring key commercial objectives are met.
- Lead annual terms negotiations, aligning key stakeholders and achieving agreed pricing and commercial terms.
- Demonstrate leadership within the team by mentoring less experienced colleagues, setting agendas, and supporting performance management where needed.
About you
To succeed in the role, you will have:
- Proven experience in account management for a high-profile brand, with a track record of delivering sales targets.
- Strong background in sales forecasting, budgeting, and financial management.
- Exposure to senior-level negotiations and strategic planning within the retail sector.
- Commercial awareness and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data for decision-making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and confidence in presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation abilities.
- A team-oriented approach with the ability to motivate and support others.
- Experience in the retail or electrical industry is highly desirable.
