Job DescriptionWhat is the purpose of this Role?

This is an exciting opportunity for the role holder to train and develop over time into an experienced risk professional.

Reporting to the Senior HR Risk Consultant (Europe), this newly created role will be a key member of the HR Risk team, supporting the team with the management and delivery of the various daily First Line of Defence (FLOD) program activities in HR. The role is critical to ensuring the continued identification and sustainable remediation of regulatory and operational risks within Human Resources.

Role Location: Ireland (Cherrywood; Arklow) or Poland (Warsaw).

Accountabilities for your role - what are you expected to do?

  • Assisting in the management of the development, implementation and maintenance of the HR Risk frameworks, policies, procedures and controls supporting HR’s compliance with both regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Support the HR Risk Team with administrative duties such as maintaining and updating relevant registers  such Code of Conduct and Conflicts of Interest, tracking of operational risk/loss metrics, drafting presentations and quality assurance testing.
  • Ensuring all HR programmes are safe and sound from a regulatory perspective and the operational processes are being executed in accordance with the relevant internal policies and procedures and the applicable jurisdictional regulations, codes of conduct, legislations, and laws.
  • Responsible for managing and tracking the quarterly review of regulation (e.g., Corporate Governance, Data Protection, Remuneration, Individual Accountability Regime (Ireland and UK) etc.,).
  • Development and monitoring of HR policies, procedures, programs and controls and ensuring the retention of accurate data to support HR operations.
  • Supporting the HR function on risks associated with vendor selection and the ongoing management, inclusive of monitoring KPIs.
  • Conduct and/or collaborate on periodic reviews to assess the level of regulatory and operational compliance within HR.
  • Identify gaps and/or areas for enhancement in HR processes to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations and internal policies.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the bank, including collaboration with Compliance, business lines, audit teams and HR leadership team.
  • Supporting the day to day management of all audits and reviews involving HR.
  • Help drive continuous improvements and change, ensure the team continues to evolve and grow, delivering value add outcomes for both HR and the bank.
  • Professionally resilient, results (both quality and timeliness) driven, with impeccable attention to detail in performance of all tasks.

Qualifications Required to perform your Role?

  • 5+ years experience in financial services.
  • Professionally resilient, results (both quality and timeliness) driven, with impeccable attention to detail in performance of all tasks.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and managing frameworks, policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrable experience of interaction, influencing and reaching agreed upon solutions.
  • Demonstrable achievement in creating and delivering successful process or policy change.
  • Proven track record of working on own initiative and delivering practical outcomes to a professional standard.
  • Experience in managing and/or different stakeholders across different business lines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative in approach with strong emphasis on delivery and execution.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop and articulate vision and direction.
  • Intermediate computer skills are needed; including experience with Microsoft Office applications.
