Job Description

The Technology team is responsible for the design, development and support of software applications that enable card and non-card payments for Elavon customers across Europe.

Our 2-year graduate program (undergraduate) will give you the opportunity to learn all aspects of the business and you will complete three rotations of 8 months:

  • Rotation 1: Payments Fundamentals and Technical Support (Training, Query research, Tools and Documentation)
  • Rotation 2: Understand Elavon’s observability stack and help deliver the Product roadmap for same. (SQL and UI-UX)
  • Rotation 3: Card and Non-Card Payments Feature Development (AWS, GitLab, Java, COBOL, Test Tools, Change Management and SDLC)

Responsibilities for the role

  • Establish a foundational understanding of payments from a cardholder and merchant perspective and the Elavon technology stack.
  • Gain a working knowledge of the Technology tools and practices used to research and respond to internal customer requests and incidents.
  • Become proficient in our analytics engine used to monitor the payments experience for our customers and deliver features on the product roadmap.
  • Develop customer features on our payments platform following our SDLC and using a modern toolchain.

Basic qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or masters in computer science, information technology, or a related field with a completion date of May 2024 or 2025
  • 1 year or less industry/technology experience
  • Ability to start graduate program on 1 Sept 2025

Contract Type : 2 year Fixed Term Contract

Location: Arklow, Co. Wicklow

The role offers a hybrid / flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
