Build and operate RenaissanceRe’s internal AI platform, including reusable tools, cloud-native deployments, enterprise integrations, monitoring, governance, testing, and responsible-AI controls. Develop AI agents, RAG frameworks, tool-calling workflows, and scalable services using Python, AWS, Docker, and orchestration frameworks. Support security, privacy, compliance, performance, reliability, and cost optimization while partnering with product, data, platform, and engineering teams to accelerate AI adoption.

Designs, deploys, secures, and manages enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Responsibilities include cloud governance, IAM, networking, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, Dynamics 365 support, CI/CD integration, Infrastructure as Code, scripting automation, cost optimization, monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and executive reporting. The role collaborates with development, infrastructure, security, business, directory services, and outsourced supplier teams.

Lead private markets investing with focus on private credit: define strategy, conduct due diligence, underwrite credit and manager selection, construct and monitor portfolio, present recommendations to the Investment Committee, and collaborate with Quant, Accounting, Legal, Tax, and external managers on structuring and reporting.

Develop and maintain quantitative asset-risk and multi-sector allocation frameworks; provide bespoke modelling and relative-value analysis across fixed income, equities, private assets, alternatives and commodities; enhance stochastic/deterministic risk and asset-liability models; prepare reporting for stakeholders and regulators; promote risk management culture and collaborate across investments, underwriting, technology, and corporate functions.

Lead complex technical initiatives, design scalable architectures, resolve cross-system issues, run post-mortems, mentor developers, drive CI/CD and cloud infrastructure improvements, and communicate technical decisions to stakeholders.

Lead design, operation, and improvement of developer platforms and tooling. Act as product owner for CI/CD, source control, observability, and dev tooling; standardise and automate pipelines, enforce security and guardrails, provide self-service capabilities, and ensure platform reliability and monitoring.

Design and build software solutions for RenaissanceRe users, providing technical leadership and mentoring within the engineering team while ensuring high-quality standards and collaboration across the organization.

Support investment compliance across internal and external portfolios by performing pre- and post-trade checks, coding and implementing compliance rules (Aladdin BQL), reviewing and resolving breaches, maintaining guideline and trust agreement libraries, and reporting compliance breaches and waivers.
