WHO WE ARE

Learnosity is the global leader in assessment technology, powering more than 130 of the world's leading learning platforms and reaching over 40 million active learners. We're in an exciting period of transformation - evolving from an API-first assessment platform into an intelligent learning infrastructure company, with new AI-powered products already in customers' hands and more on the way.

We're building an Enterprise Transformation capability to fundamentally change how Learnosity operates - not just deploying AI tools, but redesigning how work gets done across every function. This is one of the founding engineering hires of that capability.

WHY JOIN US?

Build Something That Didn't Exist Before

You'll join a new Enterprise Transformation team from its earliest days, helping establish how AI is adopted and scaled across Learnosity from Finance and People to Customer Success, Client Support, Sales, and Operations.

Shape the Foundations

As one of Enterprise Transformation's first engineering hires, you'll help set the build patterns, playbooks, and standards that shape how the function operates as it grows.

Build and Transform

This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit in workshops all day, and it isn't a role for someone who just wants to build things in isolation. You'll get exposure to both and that combination is how you'll grow fastest.

Growth & Development

A clear runway toward a senior transformation engineering role, with mentorship, an annual L&D budget, and increasing ownership as you build your track record.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an engineer who combines genuine build capability with a solid grasp of how a business actually operates and the instinct to make what they build stick. You'll bring real engineering fundamentals, and you'll sharpen your transformation instincts turning a messy business problem into a solution people actually adopt - as you go.

The engineering is the foundation. You'll spend significant time designing and building AI agents, automations, integrations, RAG systems, internal copilots, and agentic workflows tailored to the specific needs of each business function you work with. You'll take on more end-to-end ownership as you build context across rotations.

Technical delivery alone isn't enough. You'll work closely with the BizOps team and the wider Transformation function to understand the business problem before building anything, and you'll take an active role in the change and adoption work needed to make a solution stick - partnering with COPO and BizOps on the trickier stakeholder or change management calls.

You'll also be expected to stay curious about the AI landscape, trying new tools, reading up on emerging approaches, and bringing what you learn back to the team.

This role operates on a rotation model. Rotations are shaped by where the need is greatest - sometimes embedding deeply inside a single business function, sometimes working across several on a shared problem. Duration is determined by the depth of the backlog and the complexity of what needs building. Your first rotation will be agreed before you join. The goal of every rotation is the same: leave capability behind, not dependency.

HOW THE ROTATION MODEL WORKS

Each rotation follows a consistent arc. Duration varies by function and complexity. What stays constant is the standard of handoff and, at this level, the support you'll have along the way.

Solutions are owned by Enterprise Transformation and built to be reusable. What you help leave behind integrations, agent scaffolds, prompt libraries, playbooks - becomes shared infrastructure for the whole organisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand before you build

  • Support discovery sessions with functional teams and leaders, helping translate business problems into technically actionable briefs.
  • Contribute to a prioritised build pipeline, in partnership with the BizOps team, focused on highest-value, highest-feasibility opportunities first.
  • Ask good questions about whether a technology solution is the right answer - the goal is better outcomes, not more AI.

Build and deliver

  • Design and deliver AI capabilities - agents, internal copilots, knowledge assistants, intelligent automation, RAG systems, document intelligence, and agentic workflows with increasing independence as your experience grows.
  • Contribute to integrations across Learnosity's enterprise technology stack, connecting systems and closing gaps that slow teams down.
  • Build for reuse - solutions and components should be adaptable across functions, not purpose-built and abandoned.
  • Document your work clearly so knowledge compounds across rotations.

Support the change, not just the build

  • Help drive adoption, not just deployment - a solution that isn't used hasn't delivered value.
  • Coach the teams you work with through practical training and documentation, working up to leading this independently.
  • Contribute to practical guidance, prompt libraries, and playbooks tailored to each function's real workflows.
  • Support well-designed handoffs so what you help build keeps running reliably after you rotate out.

Contribute to Enterprise Transformation standards

  • Flag security and privacy considerations early, escalating to COPO or the relevant team when unsure.
  • Support the evaluation of new AI tools alongside Security, Legal, and Internal IT.
  • Share what you learn across rotations - what worked, what didn't, and ideas worth exploring further.

RequirementsEXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Required

  • Solid Python engineering skills - able to build, test, and deploy production-grade AI solutions.
  • Working knowledge of LLMs - prompt engineering, basic RAG concepts, tool use, and structured outputs. You're curious about how these models behave and fail, not just how to call an API.
  • Some hands-on exposure to building AI agents or automated workflows - through work, side projects, or personal experimentation.
  • Comfortable working directly with model provider APIs and SDKs - Claude, OpenAI, Gemini.
  • Some experience (or strong aptitude) integrating APIs into real systems - connecting tools, automating a workflow, or building a small internal tool.
  • Familiarity with at least some common enterprise tools - Google Workspace, Atlassian, Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk, Slack, Xero - and willingness to learn the rest.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience, ideally with some exposure to cross-functional or client-facing work.
  • Clear communicator - comfortable asking questions of non-technical stakeholders to understand what they actually need.

Nice to Have

  • Early exposure to multi-step or agentic AI workflows.
  • Interest in knowledge management, enterprise search, or making organisational information accessible to AI systems.
  • Background in consulting, solutions engineering, or a technical role involving direct contact with non-technical stakeholders.
  • A personal project, hackathon, or work example where you built something other people actually used.
  • Awareness of information security, data privacy, or responsible AI principles.
  • EdTech or adjacent B2B industry exposure.
