Jabil is hiring in Dublin 15, Blanchardstown. We are looking for Test Engineer (Debug) to join our Test Engineering team.

Position Summary: 

• We are hiring a Debug engineer to support team on site to diagnose & rework test failures. 

Key Responsibilities and End Results: 

• Lead by example, ensuring safe work practices are always maintained in line with company policies. 
• Drive debug efficiency and continuous improvement in the daily execution for the debug team. 
• Work with Test Development to design and deliver training for the Debug/Rework team for NPIs. 
• Own documentation for the debug/rework team to ensure VA’s and required specifications are available and update-to-date. 
• Works cross-department to develop robust solutions to high-impacting test case fails. 
• Leads team improvement projects delivering coaching to the technicians. 
• Coach and mentor the individuals to develop their skills and capabilities. 
• Data analysis and problem solving to root cause, driving sustainable corrective/preventative actions. 
• Collaborates with production, quality, test, manufacturing teams in problem definition, development and resolution. 

Person specification: 

• Computer literate with Advanced MS Office skills.  Literate in Linux/and bash (shell) scripting. 
• Capable of developing training plans based on identified team gaps. 
• People-focused - willing and able to coach and mentor others. 
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.  
• Strong planning & organizational skills and diligence. 
• Proficiency in English is a requirement and eligibility to work in Ireland. 
• Track record of meeting deadlines. 
• A demonstrated “can do” work ethic with excellent critical thinking skills. 

Job Specifications:  

Essential criteria 

• BSc/BA in Manufacturing Technology/Electronics/Mechatronics/Computer Science/Data management (NFQ level 8 minimum) or relevant discipline. 
• 3-5 years experience in Test Engineering or related role.
• 1-2 years’ experience working in a debug environment, or in a similar data center role is required.  
• Strong troubleshooting skills using methodologies like 5Why or 7step. 
• Strong computer skills – Linux. 

Desired criteria 

• Experience in an electronic manufacturing environment (data center) is highly desirable.  
• Experience in process improvements/lean manufacturing (5s, VSM, GEMBA) in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.  
• Capable of writing debug scripts (in consultation with GCTD). 
• Previous experience in data parsing app development.
