Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with hands-on experience in Node.js server-side programming to oversee our API development initiative focused on enhancing workforce management capabilities. This project involves reviewing and implementing new APIs using Node.js connected to C++ servers, transitioning from a cloud-based environment to on-premises infrastructure, and integrating OAuth 2.0 with SAML/SSO for secure user authentication. You will be also involved in supporting the development and refinement of the Angular-based UX to ensure seamless integration during the installation process. Additionally, the role involves preparing the Advanced Outreach solution for deployment on the AWS Marketplace, ensuring compliance with marketplace requirements, and optimizing for cloud deployment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee project milestones and provide high-level architectural guidance.
• Lead API review, development, and creation of new APIs on Node.js.
• Guide migration of APIs to on-premises infrastructure.
• Integrate OAuth 2.0 with SAML/SSO for secure user authentication.
• Support front-end team and ensure seamless UX integration.
• Prepare Advanced Outreach for AWS Marketplace deployment.
• Mentor team members and foster a collaborative environment.
• Communicate progress to stakeholders and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Evaluate and recommend methods for managing API connections to servers running on C++.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with Node.js architecture and event-driven programming.
• Proficiency in building scalable server-side applications using Node.js framework.
• Experience with Express.js or similar Node.js frameworks.
• Proficiency in asynchronous programming and handling callbacks, promises, and async/await.
• Knowledge of API development best practices and performance optimization.
• 3+ years of experience with Angular framework, including Angular 2+ versions.
• 2+ years of experience with C++ for performance-critical components.
• Experience integrating C++ modules with Node.js using addons (e.g., NAN or N-API).
• Understanding of memory management and multithreading in C++.
• 2+ years of expertise with OAuth 2.0 authorization framework.
• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols.
• Experience in implementing OAuth for secure API authentication and authorization.
• Understanding of various grant types (e.g., authorization code, client credentials) and scopes.
• Knowledge of related identity protocols such as SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) and OIDC (OpenID Connect) for comprehensive identity management.
• Knowledge of Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocols.
• Experience in configuring and managing SSL/TLS certificates.
• Understanding of securing APIs using HTTPS and best practices for encryption.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Understanding of REST principles and best practices.
• Experience with API versioning, documentation (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI), and testing.
