Role Purpose

Cornmarket’s Tax Advisors are part of a team that provides tax advice and processes tax returns for clients. As a Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for preparing clients tax returns, discussing the tax return outcome with the client, and liaising with revenue commissioners to ensure the return is complete.

Ideally the successful candidate will be working towards TMITI qualification. However, full educational support will be provided to the successful candidate to complete the TMITI's or CTA’s, if not already completed. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to carve out a career in financial services.

Accountabilities of the Role

Prepare both standard and self-assessed tax returns for clients

Answer client queries in relation to tax and financial advice in a timely and polite manner

Have a professional and empathetic approach to customer queries

To comply with risk control and regulatory requirements that are relevant to this role

To maintain commercial awareness relevant to this role

Skills & Knowledge Required

Previous experience working within a tax department desired but not essential

TMITI exams desired but not essential

Interest in continuing to improve and build upon tax knowledge in a fast paced environment

A minimum of two years in an administrative or customer focused role essential

Strong customer service skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work towards deadlines and work under pressure

Knowledge of risk control & regulatory environment

Commercial awareness
