Role Purpose:
CEL’s strategy is to become a world leader in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of electrical switchgear for the Datacentre and Pharma industries. We are recruiting a highly motivated and dynamic Supply Chain Manager who can develop the company’s tactical and strategic global supply chain, ensuring the most efficient materials sourcing, storage and kitting program and finished goods transportation methodologies to our clients.
The role will require strong leadership in Supply Chain optimisation, supplier collaboration, team development, process and systems improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, planning and communication skills coupled with a global knowledge and awareness for material supply markets and market costs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee a team of Buyer Planners to maintain an equilibrium between material supply and budgetary objectives.
· Ensure timely and complete sourcing and delivery of all product materials to satisfy production demands.
· Maintain adequate stock levels to facilitate the achievement of production lead times for core products.
· Create and implement internal supply chain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and collaborate with external suppliers to enhance supply chain efficiency.
· Achieve weekly goals for clear-to-build at 100%.
· Address weekly MRP exception actions.
· Develop and manage ERP functionality to minimize manual interventions, ensuring that master data for all raw materials is accurate.
· Manage the procurement lifecycle for all raw materials.
· Meet turnaround times for invoice exceptions.
· Achieve turnaround times for purchase price variance (PPV).
· Identify suitable training programs and actively work to develop and mentor your team in alignment with our strategic goals.
· Generate and report relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring actions are taken when targets are not met.
· Ensure that all purchased components are sourced according to the Approved Vendor Listing.
· Serve as the company representative during external audits, whether conducted by customers or regulatory bodies.
Requirements
· A bachelor's degree along with 3 to 5 years of experience in senior management roles.
· Proven skills in organization, leadership, communication, and negotiation.
· Driven by results and self-motivated, with the ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
· Extensive knowledge of ERP systems and optimization of supply chain processes.
· Willingness and ability to travel regionally as needed.
· High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability are essential.
