Provides direction to key stakeholders with respect to financial management, resource prioritization and optimizing headcount. Applies advanced understanding of Microsoft business, industry, and drivers of shareholder return to ensure senior leaders are presented with the most relevant data, insights, risks, and recommendations necessary to support strategy execution. Leads effort to work with business partners to translate top-down targets to an accountable budget and to generate operational plans and strategy within their organization. Leads annual planning and forecasting processes. Reviews, analyzes, and prepares recommendations for preliminary and adjusted forecast cycles. Partners and solicits insight from senior business and commercial stakeholders. Proactively partners with the business to take necessary corrective action as needed.
Conceptualizes and designs new approaches and metrics to how relevant financial data is collected and evaluated to impact the broader organization and Microsoft's long-term goals. Acts as subject matter expert for data management and operations.
Provides direction to key stakeholders with respect to financial management, resource prioritization and optimizing headcount. Leads business analytics, modeling, and research activities determining present and future financial performance, formulating and evaluating financial plans (e.g., expected returns, resource allocation, pricing, investment opportunities, revenue, operational metrics, productivity metrics), economic transactions (e.g., customer deals, commercial partnerships, acquisitions), and future opportunities. Judges headcount forecasting to develop accurate headcount and Profit & Loss (P&L) forecast for financial and real estate planning.
Provides direction and actionable insights on the state of the business to key stakeholders to drive the business forward. Orchestrates the accurate and timely rhythm of business reporting including key performance indicators (KPIs), monthly close, and budgeting. Guides team to focus on driving profitable growth by being an integral part of planning and performance tracking processes. Collaborates and empowers others to ensure execution of plans and accountability for results.
Protect
Orchestrates comprehensive system of accounting policies, procedures and controls that span financial, non-financial disclosures, and accounting operations. Maintains accountability for internal control process and procedures regarding accounting, stat, and regulatory filings. Creates work environment to enable sharing of control adherence risks. Ensures proper financial and accounting infrastructure to maintain reporting requirements.
Builds commitment between business leaders and internal audit team. Advocates Microsoft's filing position with auditors. Documents audit findings and shares results with impacted business groups.
Drives the right tone from executive leadership and ensures strict adherence and understanding of Microsoft policies on risk and compliance. Influences leadership to ensure compliance is a top priority and modeled throughout the organization. Directs team and holds others accountable to ensure financial control processes, policies, instruments, and procedures are executed. Guides team and encourages others to identify and share risks to compliance and take steps to mitigate. Drives a compliant culture through actions and decisions to instill trust. Advocates, educates, and promotes best practices and new developments. Champions financial compliance standards, Microsoft privacy, security, and ethical standards. Advances key compliance initiatives. Where appropriate, anticipates and mitigates emerging statutory, tax, regulatory, and fiduciary risks. Partners with other support areas (Tax, Internal Audit) to drive compliance and controllership agenda.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications;
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 10+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR equivalent experience
- 1+ year(s) experience managing direct reports
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
- 5+ years work experience in matrix-based organization.
- 5+ years work experience in the technology or software industry.
Financial Analysis M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across Ireland is € 113,600.00 - € 213,700.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
