THE TEAM

The Investment Technology group at KKR builds and operates the systems that power the entire investment lifecycle, from deal sourcing and portfolio construction to risk management and monetization. We design platforms that connect data, people, and insights across Private Equity, Credit, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Capital Markets, enabling investment teams to make faster, smarter decisions at scale. Our mandate is to transform how KKR invests by engineering shared, data-driven platforms that replace fragmented legacy tools with integrated solutions that drive efficiency, transparency, and alpha generation.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As part of our continued investment in Ireland, KKR is launching a Technology & Engineering Centre of Excellence in Dublin. This new hub will play a central role in building the world’s first technology platform engineered to manage over one trillion dollars in alternative AUM (assets under management.) Designed from the ground up for scale, security and speed, this is the infrastructure for the future of global finance. Areas of focus include investment technology, portfolio construction and management, liquidity solutions, risk analytics, and advanced data platforms.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a growing team within one of the world’s leading investment firms. You will contribute to high-visibility, strategic initiatives that are critical to the success of KKR’s business, working alongside a talented group professionals.

We’re committed to attracting and developing top-tier technology talent in Ireland. We need you to help establish this team’s reputation for excellence and leadership.

THE ROLE

As a Principal Engineer, you will define the technical vision for key parts of our stack, shaping how data, analytics, and applications come together to drive business value.

You’ll combine deep engineering expertise with a strategic mindset—designing scalable systems, mentoring top talent, and setting standards for technical excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, data, and finance.

Our stack includes AWS, Postgres, Python, and React, with an emphasis on AI-assisted development and automation to enhance speed and quality across the SDLC.
