Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer - Kernel Security, your responsibilities will include:

  • Build, develop, and maintain kernel security features for PlayStation systems.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to successfully implement security improvements.
  • Debug and resolve sophisticated security issues within the kernel.
  • Supervise and analyze security threats to determine the best course of action.
  • Assist with open-source projects associated with kernel security.
  • Maintain code quality through meticulous testing and code reviews.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in C programming languages, other programming language like C++ is a plus.
  • Experience with kernel development, freeBSD knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge in kernel security concepts and practices.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git and GitHub.
  • Excellent debugging skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to work autonomously and within a cooperative group.
Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Advanced knowledge of operating systems and low-level programming.
  • Experience contributing to widely recognized open-source projects.
  • Effective communication abilities and the capability to clearly explain intricate technical ideas.
  • A strong passion for gaming and knowledge of the gaming industry.
