At Pinterest, AI isn't just a feature, it's a powerful partner that augments our creativity and amplifies our impact, and we’re looking for candidates who are excited to be a part of that. To get a complete picture of your experience and abilities, we’ll explore your foundational skills and how you collaborate with AI.

Through our interview process, what matters most is that you can always explain your approach, showing us not just what you know, but how you think. You can read more about our AI interview philosophy and how we use AI in our recruiting process here.

We're seeking a strong candidate to join our Sexualized Harms team within our Trust & Safety Enforcement Operations organization. In this role, you'll partner closely with fellow Pinterest agents and cross-functional teams across Legal, Product, Engineering, and Data Science to protect all our users, including our youngest ones. You'll apply sound judgment and critical thinking to enforce our internal policies, keep harmful content off the platform, and ensure regulatory compliance across the regions we operate in.

You'll develop deep expertise in our moderation procedures and use that expertise to evaluate and improve our tools, workflows, and best practices. You'll provide context and feedback to teams building new safety features, and cultivate strong, trusted partnerships with the teams working to keep Pinterest one of the safest places on the internet.

What you’ll do:

  • Review and assess highly sensitive content and escalations related to sexualized harms (including child sexual exploitation, age-inappropriate sexual content, and adult content) from both internal and external sources to ensure timely detection, investigation, and removal of harmful content at scale, in line with Pinterest’s policies, and in full compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Investigate high-severity child safety violations and CSAM-related threats, partnering closely with Policy, Legal, Integrity, Global Affairs, Security, and Engineering to disrupt malicious actors and abuse networks. Use cross-platform and open-source research to contextualize bad actors and identify related high-risk harm areas.
  • Lead the resolution of high-priority escalations related to sexualized harms by investigating nuanced cases, exercising sound judgment, and building consensus with cross-functional partners to drive the right actions forward. You'll navigate ambiguity and change with confidence, helping build and sustain the team's strong track record of success.
  • Serve as a policy subject matter expert on sexualized harms, interpreting Pinterest’s Community Guidelines in complex or ambiguous scenarios and helping ensure consistent, high-quality enforcement decisions.
  • Own and execute targeted projects that improve how we prevent, detect, and respond to sexualized harms, including defining scope, tracking progress, and sharing outcomes.
  • Analyze trends, signals, and operational metrics to surface policy gaps, emerging risks, and tooling issues in sexualized harms workflows, and translate those insights into clear, actionable recommendations for cross-functional partners.
  • Contribute to a high-performing, resilient team culture by sharing expertise, supporting case review and quality review sessions, and modeling healthy ways of working in a challenging problem space.

What we’re looking for:

  • Deep expertise in online sexualized harms, with a strong specialization in child safety and exploitation threats, plus experience with adult and age-inappropriate sexual content.
  • A proven track record managing time-sensitive escalations involving high-risk harms, with the composure and judgment to act decisively under pressure while documenting clear rationales and next steps.
  • Experience owning and delivering scoped operational projects, including defining goals, coordinating with partners, and following through to implementation.
  • Experience presenting analytical findings to senior stakeholders and/or external partners, translating complex investigative work and trends into clear, actionable insights.
  • A history of scaling and improving processes, ideally use of AI-driven tools (such as language models, classifiers, or internal AI agents) to improve efficiency, consistency, and impact.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and engage confidently with all levels of an organization, including senior leadership.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in content moderation, Trust & Safety, investigations, or a closely related field.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
