About Pinterest:

Millions of people around the world come to our platform to find creative ideas, dream about new possibilities and plan for memories that will last a lifetime. At Pinterest, we’re on a mission to bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love, and that starts with the people behind the product.

Discover a career where you ignite innovation for millions, transform passion into growth opportunities, celebrate each other’s unique experiences and embrace the flexibility to do your best work. Creating a career you love? It’s Possible.

As a Sr Designer on our Growth Platform team, you will play a crucial role in developing our tooling that helps millions of Pinners everyday and also empowers many teams and functions at Pinterest. As the visionary force behind our suite of five internal tools that drive company growth, you will be at the forefront of shaping transformative design experiences. You'll lead the charge in hosting dynamic workshops and brainstorms with stakeholders, translating their insights into compelling, user-informed designs. With a knack for uncovering long-term opportunities, you'll conduct explorative research and dream up "blue sky" concepts that push the boundaries of innovation.

Your collaborative spirit will thrive as you partner closely with product managers, harmonizing strategy, priorities, and creative trade-offs. During the development process, your guidance will be invaluable to engineers, helping to resolve challenges and craft elegant solutions. You'll also design cross-platform features that seamlessly blend form and function, ensuring that every interface—internal or otherwise—is a masterpiece of user-centric design. Above all, you'll be a champion of exceptional design choices, inspiring teams across the organization to elevate their commitment to user-centricity and excellence.

What you’ll do:

  • Design products—systematically, interactively, visually—with pixel-level precision
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and research to develop impactful, user-centric, and data-informed solutions
  • Collaborate with and manage feedback from stakeholders across the company
  • Work alongside engineers throughout the implementation and quality assurance phases
  • Uphold and inspire a high level of design execution across the team

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in dashboards, internal tooling and mobile design patterns
  • Proven track record envisioning, building, and iterating on digital products in close partnership with product management and engineering
  • Strong portfolio that demonstrates outstanding design skills (prototyping is a must) and product thinking informed by qualitative and quantitative insights
  • Great communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate your design decisions and the problems they’re solving
  • Attention to detail and a sense of pride and ownership over the quality of the product
  • Solid understanding of layout, typography, color, and other graphic design principles
  • Ability to work within and extend a design system. Experience working in design systems and/or product redesigns is a plus
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills and ability bring cross-functional partners along in the journey
  • High level of self-awareness with a growth mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Relocation Statement:

  • This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. Visit our PinFlex page to learn more about our working model.

In-Office Requirement Statement:

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration up to 4x per year and therefore can be situated anywhere in Ireland.
