We are seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Business Intelligence Engineer passionate about building a world-class platform through a world-class team. You will be a hands-on technical contributor, responsible for designing, delivering world-class, performant and scalable Business Intelligence (BI) reports by using modern reporting tools and your knowledge of SQL-based relational and non-relational data stores and queries.
About the Team:
Our vision at GTreasury is to enable customers with the clarity to act, and our BI and Data Engineering team plans to do just that as we embark on a journey to build a next generation data analytics platform. This is a highly specialized team of BI practitioners who will dream, design, craft, and operate a full stack solution that encompasses data pipelines, warehousing, and self-service analytics.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and develop BI solutions:
- Actively participate in the evaluation of future reporting tools, platforms, and designs
- Work closely with data engineers, DBAs, and software engineers in the design and construction of data related deliverables including databases, data lakes, reports, and dashboards.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, including product management, solutions engineers, and department heads, to understand their data needs and challenges. Then translate these requirements into technical designs, and building the infrastructure that allows users to access and interpret data effectively
- Create analytical experiences:
- Working with data warehouses, data marts, and understanding concepts like dimensional modeling
- Create and manage interactive dashboards, reports, universes, extracts, and data visualizations to facilitate data exploration and analysis.
- Design and implement data models that support efficient querying and reporting
- Solution optimization:
- Conduct testing and debugging of BI applications to ensure accuracy, reliability, and functionality
- Improve existing data queries, ETL designs, database structures, and reports
- Optimize BI solutions for performance, scalability, and usability, considering user requirements and feedback
- Operational excellence:
- Perform regular maintenance and updates to existing BI systems
o Maintain all work within the standards of our compliance policies, and operational policies - Document all work as appropriate
- Identify and resolve issues within the BI platform, including monitoring report performance and implement appropriate corrective actions for improvements as needed

Who You Are:
- A technologist with demonstrable experience in and around the Business Intelligence, reporting, database, and data lake solution space
- You love to learn new technology, and have a solid base of existing experience with data lake and data warehouse platforms and technologies (such as: AWS Kinesis, Kafka, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, etc.)
- You are a troubleshooter at heart; you can identify and solve for data-related performance and quality issues in high pressure situations
- You can work as part of an international team
- You thrive on creating innovative solutions
- You love tackling challenges with creative ideas
- You write stellar code that wows and performs
Essential Knowledge / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or the equivalent in experience, with at least 7 years of experience designing and implementing data solutions and analytical platforms.
- Proven ability to influence and mentor others within an agile team environment
- Highly proficient with Microsoft SQL Server (platform and tools such as the profiler), its databases (schemas, indices), and T-SQL (stored procedures, views, CTEs)
- Experience specific to Izenda is a plus
- Experience in the financial industry is a plus
- Expert knowledge and experience in the implementation and usage of modern BI technologies and self-service analytics (e.g. Qlik, Tableau, Looker, Snowflake, Metabase, Lightdash, etc...), preferably as an embedded customer facing offering
- Proficient with ETL / data movement approaches and tooling
