About us:

Web Summit brings the world’s most impactful speakers to our global events. That’s how we became, in the words of Forbes, “the best tech conference on the planet”.

And we’re just getting started.

As we continue to grow globally, we’re looking for the most ambitious people to work with us

The Role Overview:

The role of Web Summit’s Speakers Team is simple: we attract the speakers that make Web Summit so successful.

    That will be your job.

Web Summit prides itself on identifying not just the biggest names, but the sharpest minds: the people creating, shaping and supporting the technologies that will shape the future.

The Role Specifics:

Behind every speaker confirmed for Web Summit is a mountain of research, flawless logistics, and relentless follow-up.

    • Target Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive research on potential speakers, their recent announcements, and their business needs to help craft the perfect pitch.

    • Bespoke Outreach: Outreach with compelling & high-level offerings that give speakers personal and professional reasons to attend. Offer unique opportunities, and keep the momentum alive in long-running discussions.

    • Engagement: Find ways to engage with speakers directly, or through their own networks; identify and build relationships with gatekeepers and the people who can get you past the protective moat.

    • Editorial: Propose session concepts, titles, and narrative angles.

    • Administrative Excellence: Manage speaker data, track confirmation statuses, and coordinate the complex scheduling requirements of high-profile offices.

    • Briefing & Preparation: Ensure that when pitching or meeting with a speaker, we know everything about them - and the best ways to ensure their goals are met by attending Web Summit.

    • Technology Adoption: Be the first to find ways of using AI and other technologies to make what you do more efficient

Skills we like:

    • Drive: Nothing beats hard work and a relentless determination to achieve your goals

    • Indefatigability: You never take no for an answer, seeing it merely as a challenge to find new ways to achieve your goals

    • Experience: Fast-paced environment (PR, talent agency, journalism, events, TV, Radio, or high-end hospitality).

    • Communication: Exceptional writing and presenting skills. You must be able to sound professional, persuasive, and succinct.

    • Contextual intelligence: Grounded understanding of the tech and business ecosystem - players and dynamics -  and knowing how best to navigate your way to booking them

    • Team player: An excellent collaborator, with the ability to work equally well on your own initiative.

    • Curiosity: Willingness to learn, ask questions, and scale skills quickly.

    • Personality: High Social IQ. You need to be someone people enjoy working with, especially under intense pressure.

    Benefits and perks:

    - Subsidised healthcare, dental, employee assistance programme (EAP) and more.

    - Pension contribution up to 6% (Irish-based only)

    - A dedicated in-house L&D department, with access to workshops, online learning and resources to help you excel in your career development.

    - Company laptop, generous annual leave and flexible working arrangements.

    - Our very own Tramway Team, which drives community and morale-boosting events for employees to participate in.

    - Annual company get-togethers, charity days, and monthly wellbeing talks.

    - Wellness subsidy issued to all employees of €1000 per year

At Web Summit, we embrace diversity and inclusion. We want talent from all walks of life to help us on our journey to digitise the conference sector. Hiring decisions are made purely on experience, skills and the needs of the business.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
