We’re looking for inquisitive, collaborative interns to join our engineering teams. Working closely with mentors and product, design, data, and engineers, you’ll learn how large‑scale systems operate and play a meaningful role in building new technologies, features, and tools. Expect real projects, supportive teammates, and plenty of opportunities to explore ideas that make a difference for our teams and Pinners.

What you’ll do:

  • Complete assigned technical projects with attention to quality, incorporating feedback from your mentor, manager and peers
  • Execute scoped technical tasks end-to-end that contribute to Pinterest products and infrastructure
  • Deliver code that is well-documented, tested, and operable
  • Share ideas, questions and perspectives clearly and respectfully while learning from feedback
  • Build technical and professional skills through learning and development opportunities
  • Collaborate with your team and contribute to production-oriented projects that support Pinterest’s goals
  • Leverage opportunities to connect with leaders and colleagues across Pinterest and participate in intern program events
  • Foundational exposure to AI concepts or AI-assisted software development through coursework, projects, internships or practical experience
  • Interest in learning how to use AI-powered technologies responsibly to improve product development, while validating outputs through testing, review and engineering judgment

What we’re looking for:

  • This position requires current enrollment in a school or education program in which the individual is working towards a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Obtain Bachelor's in Computer Science or related technical field by June 2028
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
  • Familiarity using AI as a learning, productivity, and engineering tool, and as an iterative coding partner, to accelerate engineering work while exercising strong judgment around accuracy, security, and when to ask for help
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or C++, and familiarity with relevant frameworks, tools, or technologies such as React or similar. Technical requirements vary by team.
  • Non-academic coding experience (i.e. hackathons, code challenges, personal projects, GitHub, Open Source, volunteer coding experience, conference participation, etc.)
  • A curious nature with a desire to tackle and solve complex problem 

In-Office Requirement:

  • This onsite internship will be based in our Dublin office requiring a few days in office. Our program will run in a full-time capacity during typical business hours between Monday-Friday.
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 2-3 weekdays per week and therefore needs to be within a commutable distance of Dublin.
  • The internship dates are May 10, 2027 - August 27, 2027

Final salary is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.

The minimum and maximum salary for this position is €3500 - €3700 monthly.
