The Senior Value Stream Engineer will join the ACM OPS OU team to ensure all new ACM products are designed, with all aspects of the value stream process in mind. This role will be responsible for manufacturing, supply chain planning and service readiness, supporting the voice of the customer in product development and new product introduction into Medtronic Service Centres.
This role will collaborate cross-functionally with internal partners to develop strategies and partnerships that drive improvements across manufacturing, supply chain and service. You will own improving the maturity of each Value Stream to establish a best-in-class position across all measurable metrics.
This role will lead the end-to-end flow of products through the Value Steam with a focus on continuous improvement, providing consulting and guidance in technical services from an NPD perspective, ensuring service sites can provide technical testing & support on post launch products as required including failure investigations and repairs for ACM products.

A Day in The Life Of:
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Lead ongoing engineering activities such as:
Lead the end-to-end flow of products through the Value Stream with a focus on making continuous improvements in the key areas of Safety, Service, Quality and Cost.
Develop and implement a Value Stream Strategy that ensures correct inventory levels are maintained to adequately serve our patient’s needs.
You will lead the development and validation of methodology to conduct material, component, and finished device level inventory analysis, and create opportunities to optimise inventory levels.
Work with and leverage cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for key business processes.
Proactively identifies, mitigates, and takes responsible risks. Experience with risk planning, management, risk strategies, and develops accurate risk adjusted schedule.
Through effective information flow and interaction, you will develop harmonious working relations with other functions and ensure employees within the team have the necessary information and resources to effectively perform their jobs.
Manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and liase with project management & cross functional teams on project planning and deliverables.
Communicate with and enable stakeholder engagement to ensure end products and processes meet business goals and initiatives.
Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within the value stream.
Regularly report on value stream performance, highlighting successes, areas for improvement, and corrective actions.
Analyse data and metrics to drive decision-making and improve overall performance.
Key Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
Experience in defining & executing strategies for engineering & released product changes.
Medical device product development experience.
Medical device development.
Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and stakeholder management.
Proven ability to deliver Projects on time, within budget, meeting business expectations.
Experienced with Microsoft project and office.
Demonstrated strong planning and organizational skills.
Ability to work, influence and lead in a matrix environment.
Nice to Have:
May have practical knowledge of project management
Experience implementing or executing operations projects/programs, new process, tools and program and/or portfolio dashboards.
Excellent mitigation management and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and relationship skills.
Strong presentation skills, both delivery and development.
