This Position reports to:

Sales Support Manager


 

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.
The work model for the role is: hybrid 
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications.

  • Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries.

  • Developing and maintaining new sales opportunities and resolving specific customer problems.

  • Provide product sales know-how training to global sales community.

  • Prepare and deliver product technical presentations and demonstrations to customers.

  • Ensuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar technical sales support or engineering role.

  • Solid understanding of electrical systems and products; experience with medium-voltage AC drives is a strong advantage.

  • Ability to perform diagnostic and analytical studies to identify optimal technical solutions for complex customer inquiries.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to deliver technical presentations and training effectively.

  • Strong customer-centric mindset with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team in a dynamic, international environment. Strong prioritization and time management skills, resilience under pressure.

  • Willingness to travel globally (approximately 10% of the time).
