Job Description

The Senior Specialist, Procurement Operations, Site Business Enablement is responsible for executing source-to-contract procurement processes in alignment with business goals and industry best practices, ensuring compliance with procurement policies, and contributing to supplier diversity and sustainability.  This role plays an essential part in executing supplier management activities, implementing continuous improvement projects, and driving day-to-day supplier and procurement process excellence.  

 

This position requires a proactive, detail oriented, and collaborative individual who can support the development and execution of administrative tasks across multiple sites. Key areas of focus may include invoice resolution, maintenance of vendor and material records, and open order management. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Be a subject matter expert over Procurement processes & across multiple categories within the Procurement Team 

  • Lead in the development, deployment and execution of process efficiency related projects that serve to improve customer experience within the Procure-to-Pay process 

  • Execute procurement, sourcing, and contracting processes with accuracy, applying best practices, and maintaining compliance with procurement policies and risk mitigation plans.  

  • Support and promote a culture of continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery. 

  • Actively enable team goals, ensuring performance targets and objectives are delivered successfully. 

  • Work collaboratively across procurement, legal, and site colleagues to optimize outcomes and enhance alignment. 

  • Mentor junior team members, lead stakeholder education forums, and actively develop personal procurement expertise. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain or related field required. 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain or related business or operations function. 

  • Previous experience in procurement activities, including source to contract, requisition to pay and negotiation.  

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Power Platform). 

  • Proficiency in SAP/S4Hana preferred 

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, direct materials preferred 

  • Innovative problem-solving skills combined with solution-oriented mindset, enabling creative approach and clear communication at all organizational levels  

  • Impactful executive functioning abilities, autonomous work ethic, maintaining performance in challenging situations and building consensus in decision making  

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload across multiple projects 

  • Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage multiple cross divisional work process and projects 

  • Multi lingual preferred
