Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with extensive experience in .NET and Azure to join our engineering team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend services and API layers to support our applications. You will play a key role in architecting scalable solutions, driving best practices, and working with cloud technologies to enhance our product’s performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
· Backend Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and APIs using the .NET stack, focusing on scalability and performance.
· Cloud Integration: Design and deploy backend solutions on Microsoft Azure, utilizing cloud services to ensure high availability, security, and scalability.
· Architecture and Design: Contribute to architectural decisions, data modeling, and API design, ensuring that solutions are efficient, maintainable, and align with company objectives.
· Collaboration: Work closely with frontend engineers, DevOps, and product teams to implement new features and improve existing functionality.
· Database Management: Design and maintain SQL Server databases, optimizing queries and ensuring data integrity.
· Code Quality and Best Practices: Write clean, modular code and conduct code reviews to maintain high coding standards.
· Monitoring and Optimization: Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for backend services, identifying areas for optimization and proactively addressing potential issues.
· Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for backend processes, API specifications, and infrastructure.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Experience: 5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 3 years in the .NET framework.
· Technical Proficiency:
o Strong expertise in .NET Core/.NET 5+, C#, and SQL Server.
o Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, and Azure DevOps.
o Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
o Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
o Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including setting up automated builds, testing, and deployment workflows on Azure DevOps.
· Database Skills: Proficiency in SQL Server, with experience in database design, query optimization, and data integrity.
· Version Control: Strong understanding of Git and branching strategies for version control.
· Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Cosmos DB or MongoDB.
· Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
· Understanding of caching mechanisms, such as Redis or Azure Cache.
· Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
· Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
