As part of Windows Silicon & Systems Integration, we are responsible for the quality and compatibility of both in-market devices and new hardware, spanning multiple form factors, silicon vendors, and customer segments. Job Purpose: As a Senior Software Engineer in our team in Dublin, your work will impact on all development teams globally that write features for Windows. You will deliver solutions that ensure critical app compatibility issues, introduced by the Windows development process, never get exposed to customers. Responsibilities
Lead the development of innovative tools and solutions to discover regressions before they are merged into the vast OS codebase, using the latest technology in software engineering, AI and data analytics to do so.
Lead feature work to our automation framework which is used by our organization to author test content.
Lead work on enhancing the test authoring experience by developing AI solutions and leveraging cutting edge MCP’s.
Collaborate closely with engineers based in Dublin, Redmond, Nairobi and beyond to tackle compatibility issues in Windows.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND strong technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years' industry experience designing, building, testing, and shipping software.
- 6+ years' industry experience designing, building, testing, and shipping software, including technical leadership.
- Experience working with and building AI solutions is highly desired.
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to deal with ambiguity comfortably.
- Passion for customers, product quality and drive for results.
- Leadership and communication skills are key to this role.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Ireland is € 77,400.00 - € 130,000.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
