About The Role
You'll be working in the API team, our goal is to deliver a global and reliable public API where our customers can take full advantage of our state-of-the-art real-time network monitoring technology that measures, correlates, and visualizes synthetic data about global network conditions.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a reliable public API with a focus on security, performance and scale to help meet the requirements of our Enterprise customers and help engineering teams deliver the best in class public API for networking monitoring data.
Minimum Requirements
- An experienced Software Engineer, proficient in JVM languages such as Kotlin or Java, and excellent knowledge of computer science fundamentals.
- Expert level understanding of public APIs.
- Experience building large-scale cloud systems.
- Excellent object-oriented design skills.
- Professional experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud technologies such as AWS.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with API security, authentication, and authorization protocols.
- Experience with on-call and production incident resolution.
- Experience in open-source development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar.
- Experience with network protocols.
