The Genesys Cloud Analytics platform turns massive event streams into decisions that shape customer experience — for our customers and theirs. We process tens of millions of events every day across terabytes of data, building the pipelines, datasets, and services that power product teams, business insights, and end-user analytics.
In this role, you’ll work with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to build and operate big data products at scale. We’re looking for a strong engineer who turns ambiguous problems into reliable systems — someone comfortable in the unknown, creative in how they solve it, and pragmatic about what ships to production. Our team operationalizes analytics products, curates high-value datasets for the wider organization, and builds the tools and services that keep the platform growing in scope, reliability, and performance.
Summary:
Build the platform. Design and ship highly available, fault-tolerant services that improve how analytics is ingested, processed, stored, queried, and delivered.
Own the full data lifecycle. From streaming ingestion to structured and unstructured storage, search, and aggregation — you’ll engineer systems that scale with real-world usage.
Operate at global scale. Deploy, automate, and maintain large AWS deployments with reliability, performance, and efficiency in mind.
Turn ideas into products. Partner across teams to shape concepts into requirements, and requirements into tools and services others can depend on.
Raise the bar around you. Review code, mentor peers, share best practices, and help other teams solve platform pain points before they become production issues.
Fix what breaks — and prevent what’s next. Troubleshoot production incidents with urgency and judgment, using AI-assisted workflows to move faster from symptom to root cause without giving up ownership.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
5+ years of relevant industry experience building and operating scalable, production-grade software systems.
Strong Java development experience, including hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot for building distributed, cloud-native applications and services.
Experience building and supporting data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka, with a solid understanding of event-driven architectures and real-time data processing.
Hands-on experience with Apache Druid and/or Apache Flink for large-scale analytics, stream processing, or time-series data platforms.
Practical cloud experience, ideally with AWS, including deploying, operating, and troubleshooting cloud-based services. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure is also welcomed.
Experience designing, building, and operating highly available, scalable distributed systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and automation.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to work across engineering, product, and data teams to turn complex requirements into production-ready solutions.
