Job Purpose

To enable and coach multiple distributed Scrum teams within CR2’s Development Department to become high-performing, self-sufficient, and agile-driven. The Senior Scrum Master will champion Agile principles, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure the effective delivery of high-value software increments across CR2’s digital banking and payment solutions.

Our Hybrid Working Model requires employees to be on-site three days per week in the Dublin Office.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Agile Coaching & Facilitation
    • Guide teams in Agile practices, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles.
    • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives).
    • Coach teams transitioning from Waterfall to Agile methodologies.
  • Team Enablement & Performance
    • Build team autonomy and maturity through servant leadership.
    • Remove impediments and foster a safe, trusting environment for open communication and problem-solving.
    • Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and actionable feedback loops.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Act as a bridge between development teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
    • Support Product Owners in backlog refinement and prioritization.
  • Metrics & Reporting
    • Establish and maintain Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time) to track team performance.
    • Provide regular performance insights to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Change Management
    • Support teams in adopting modern technologies and practices.
    • Lead Agile transformation initiatives across the department.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in software development environments.
  • Experience working in at least two different organisations.
  • Proven track record of transitioning teams from Waterfall to Agile.
  • Experience with distributed teams and Agile at scale.
  • Strong knowledge of Jira and Agile reporting tools.
  • Agile certifications: PSM II, A-CSM, or equivalent.
  • Experience in digital banking or fintech is a plus.

  • Agile Adoption: Successful coaching of teams through Agile transformation with measurable improvements in practices and outcomes.
