  • Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders and senior decision-makers, including C-suite executives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of prospect needs and position BBH’s products and services as solutions to their business challenges.
  • Lead client presentations and sales discussions, tailoring the proposition to each opportunity.
  • Own opportunities through the sales lifecycle, from initial engagement through to contract signing and successful handover to Relationship Management.

Lead complex sales processes

  • Lead and coordinate RFI and RFP processes, working with Sales Enablement and internal subject-matter experts to deliver high-quality responses.
  • Develop commercial and fee proposals in line with BBH pricing and approval processes.
  • Navigate internal new business approval processes and ensure opportunities progress effectively.
  • Partner with colleagues across Sales, Relationship Management, Product, Operations and Marketing to develop compelling client propositions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely opportunity and relationship information within BBH’s CRM and sales technology.

Build market and industry presence

  • Represent BBH at industry conferences, client events, panels and working groups.
  • Develop and maintain senior relationships across clients, prospects, industry bodies and other key stakeholders.
  • Work with Marketing, Relationship Management and Sales leadership to develop an effective programme of client and industry events.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen BBH’s profile and market positioning across Europe.

Contribute to product and commercial strategy

  • Provide market and client insight to support the development of segment and sales strategies.
  • Identify emerging client needs and market opportunities that could inform new products and solutions.
  • Participate in product development initiatives and the research and implementation of client solutions.
  • Share market intelligence and client feedback with relevant internal teams.

What we’re looking for

  • We’re looking for a commercially minded sales professional with a strong track record of winning and developing complex business within the asset management or financial services industry.
  • You will bring:

  • A good understanding of products and services such as custody, fund accounting, transfer agency, securities lending, foreign exchange and investment operations.
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate client challenges and market developments into business opportunities.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing RFPs, tenders and complex new business proposals.
  • An understanding of the regulatory and market environment affecting the asset management industry.
  • Experience using CRM and sales enablement technology to manage opportunities and client relationships.
  • The ability to work effectively across a global organisation and collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders.
  • A credible and professional presence, with the ability to build trust and influence at senior levels.
