Lead end-to-end delivery of large or multiple ERP transformation projects (Dynamics 365 focus). Ensure scope, budget, timeline, quality, governance, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, user adoption, and post-go-live support while mentoring project teams and supporting pre-sales and commercial activities.
This role is accountable for the successful delivery of large, complex or multiple concurrent ERP transformation projects, primarily focused on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related business applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold end-to-end accountability for the successful delivery of large, complex or multiple concurrent ERP implementation and transformation projects.
- Ensure delivery commitments, customer outcomes, business benefits and commercial
- Lead recovery activities for challenged ERP projects and drive corrective actions where required.
- Take ownership of delivery performance across assigned customer engagements.
- Ensure ERP projects are delivered to agreed scope, budget, timeline and quality standards.
- Oversee project phases including discovery, design, configuration, testing, data migration, training and go-live.
- Manage programmes or groups of interrelated ERP and business application projects where required.
- Identify and manage cross-functional dependencies across finance, operations, supply chain, sales, customer service and technical workstreams.
- Direct consultants, solution architects, business analysts, developers and customer project teams in the successful execution of project plans.
- Act as a senior escalation point for significant project risks, issues and delivery challenges.
- Lead project governance, steering committee meetings and executive stakeholder reviews.
- Drive successful adoption of project management methodologies, governance frameworks and PMO standards.
- Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders, including Finance Directors, CFOs, Operations Managers, Heads of IT and Programme Sponsors.
- Develop a clear understanding of customer business objectives, operational processes and expected outcomes.
- Facilitate workshops and strategic discussions regarding business transformation and process improvement.
- Manage stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment and adoption.
- Represent Codec professionally across all customer engagements.
- Maintain oversight of project budgets, forecasts, resource utilisation and delivery profitability.
- Validate project estimates, scope assumptions and delivery forecasts.
- Ensure delivery remains aligned with contractual commitments and agreed Statements of Work.
- Manage complex change requests, scope variations and associated commercial implications.
- Support pre-sales, project estimation and proposal activities where required.
- Ensure consistent application of governance standards across ERP projects.
- Maintain oversight of RAID logs, project plans, testing activities, resource forecasts and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with PMO controls, methodologies and quality gates.
- Drive effective risk management throughout implementation, migration and go-live phases.
- Ensure accurate and transparent reporting of project health, budget and delivery performance.
- Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover planning and post-go-live support activities.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 5+ years' experience delivering ERP implementation and business transformation projects.
- Prince2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent Project Management qualification.
- Proven experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or other enterprise ERP platforms.
- Experience working within large enterprise or mid-market organisations delivering business application programmes.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects to agreed scope, budget and schedule.
- Experience managing full ERP project lifecycles, including requirements gathering, design, testing, training, data migration and go-live.
- Experience managing cross-functional project teams comprising consultants, architects, developers and customer stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of business processes including Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations and Customer Service.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and project planning tools.
- Experience operating within Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CRM) solutions.
- Experience with Power Platform, Power BI, Power Automate and Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience managing ERP data migration and integration projects.
- Experience within a Microsoft Partner or Professional Services organisation.
- Familiarity with Projector PSA or other Professional Services Automation tools.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications are advantageous.
- Strong ERP implementation and business transformation project delivery experience.
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and ERP delivery methodologies.
- Strong business process mapping and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
