Your role at Dynatrace

Are you a curious, technically-minded Product Manager who loves learning fast, talking to customers, and making sense of complex domains? Do you want to shape the future of one of the most exciting spaces in enterprise software — at a company where software intelligence meets security and observability? We hire for mindset, but we expect you to move fast, take ownership, and deliver.

At Dynatrace, our Application Security solution automatically detects, analyzes, and remediates runtime vulnerabilities and attacks — combining observability and security into a single platform that lets enterprises ship faster while staying protected. Recognized as a Leader in cloud-native security, we are looking for a Product Manager to join his space and bring new perspectives, strong communication, and a genuine hunger to understand customers and markets.

We believe in hiring for talent and mindset. If you're not afraid of stepping into unfamiliar territory, engaging directly with customers, and collaborating across solutions, teams, and time zones — we want to hear from you.

Your role

You'll own the "what" and the "why" for your assigned product area: from uncovering customer pain points to scoping features and collaborating across engineering, design, sales, and marketing to deliver real impact. You'll ramp up on the domain quickly, guided by a team of experts, while contributing your own perspective from day one.

  • You define and communicate the value of your product area — crafting the "why" and translating customer insights, data, and competitive signals into clear product decisions.
  • You scope and prioritize product features based on business and customer impact, identifying key users and personas.
  • You collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Design & Experience, and customer-facing teams to evaluate and shape solutions with a promise of positive product impact.
  • You take ownership of delivery: moving features from concept to shipped, adopted capability, resolving blockers and keeping momentum across teams and priorities.
  • You engage continuously with customers: through community, calls, advisory boards, and demos — to validate ideas and sharpen narratives early in the product lifecycle.
  • You define and own your product/solution roadmap, balancing business objectives with customer needs and contributing to success metrics that ensure transparency and proper steering.
  • You work with Sales and Marketing to support go-to-market efforts, product launches, and enablement.
  • You understand the markets and competitive dynamics relevant to your area and translate that knowledge into product strategy and positioning.
  • You develop your craft as a Product Manager — applying techniques like "working backwards", learning from peers, technical literature, and continuous customer engagement.
  • You contribute to cross-functional demos and may participate in Customer Advisory Board meetings, representing your solutions.
  • You act as a go-to resource for adjacent teams and mentor less experienced Product Managers.
What will help you succeed
  • 3–7 years of Product Management experience in a B2B SaaS environment: you understand how enterprise software is built, sold, and adopted.
  • You find it fascinating that security and observability are two sides of the same coin and want to help enterprises solve both at once.
  • Strong communication skills: you can explain complex technical topics clearly to any audience, write compelling narratives, and engage customers and stakeholders with confidence.
  • Bringing in a clear point of view and intellectual curiosity: you are comfortable navigating the unknown, ask questions, and develop a point of view.
  • Business acumen: you think about costs, revenue, market dynamics, and the commercial impact of product decisions.
  • Customer centricity: you naturally seek to understand customer pain points and translate them into product value.
  • Drive and follow-through: you move initiatives forward with consistency, maintain momentum through complexity, and find a way through when progress stalls.
  • A solid technical foundation: you're comfortable with technical concepts and collaborate effectively with engineers, even if you're not writing code.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: you build relationships easily, navigate ambiguity, and align stakeholders across teams and solutions.
  • Data-informed mindset: you use analytics, user feedback, and market research to back your decisions and track adoption and success.
  • Familiarity with security, DevSecOps, cloud-native infrastructure or observability is a plus.

You will love this job if

  • you measure yourself by what ships and what customers adopt, not just by insights produced
  • you thrive on customer interaction and love translating real-world problems into product solutions that matter
  • you enjoy working at the intersection of some of the most exciting trends in enterprise software: AI, cloud, and security
  • you want to be part of a smart, collaborative team in a high-autonomy environment inside a global industry leader
  • you're energized by working with cutting-edge technology and shaping what comes next

If you are comfortable stepping into unfamiliar territory, engaging directly with customers and taking ownership of what you build - we want to hear from you.
