Where we Work

Udemy is a global company headquartered in San Francisco, with additional U.S. offices in Denver and Austin, and international hubs in Australia, India, Ireland, Mexico, and Türkiye. This is an in-office position, requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

Design at Udemy

Design is at the heart of learning at Udemy. Our team creates experiences that are intuitive, inspiring, and delightful, guiding learners and instructors through every step of their journey. We’re collaborators and innovators who thrive on solving complex problems side-by-side with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and researchers.

As part of our close-knit team, you’ll influence product strategy, shape the design culture, and have a direct impact on how millions of people learn and teach around the world.

We embrace curiosity, creativity, experimentation, and collaboration—and we’re driven by one shared mission: to improve lives through learning.

About the Role

As a Sr. Product Designer focused on the Instructor Experience, you’ll design the tools and features that help tens of thousands of passionate instructors share their expertise with the world. From course creation to student engagement to imagining new forms of learning, you’ll empower instructors with experiences that are powerful, seamless, and beautiful.

You’ll be part of a thriving Dublin-based team of designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers who share a passion for design craft and impact.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
  • Seek out qualitative and quantitative insights to inspire and validate design decisions.

  • Partner closely with PMs, engineers, and leadership to identify opportunities and shape solutions.

  • Facilitate creative ideation through workshops and co-design sessions.

  • Own and evolve solutions through iterative design, feedback, and user validation.

  • Track impact, gather feedback, and refine the experience to ensure continuous improvement.

We’re Excited About You Because You Have:
  • 4+ years of product/UX design experience.

  • A portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design—from research to polished visuals to shipped products.

  • Experience collaborating deeply with PMs, researchers, and engineers.

  • A strong toolkit of human-centered design methods and a refined eye for visual design.

  • Fluent English communication skills.

Bonus Points If You:
  • Experiment with modern design tools (e.g., Figma, FigJam, Notion) and leverage AI-powered prototyping and ideation to move fast and explore broadly.

  • Thrive in design systems, balancing consistency with creativity.

  • Obsess over craft and beauty in design work, bringing elegance to complex problems.

  • Love learning new techniques, exploring emerging trends, and pushing the boundaries of what design can do.

What We’re Looking For
  • A collaborative, low-ego teammate who thrives on feedback and iteration.

  • A curious, open-minded designer who’s always exploring new approaches.

  • An advocate for our instructors and learners, championing their needs while balancing business goals.

  • A creative problem-solver who can bring structure and clarity to ambiguous projects.

  • A clear communicator who can tell the story of design decisions with insight and impact.

  • A design ambassador who brings stakeholders together around a shared vision.
