SimpleStudy is an AI-powered learning platform that helps students feel more confident and motivated to study. More than 1.5 million students have used our platform, and we recently raised around $4M in seed funding.
You’ll join our founding designer and one other designer, working closely with Oisin, our co-founder, across mobile and web.
What you’ll do
Take design from understanding the problem to shipping and learning from the results.
Explore and test new ideas that help students get started, build study habits, and share SimpleStudy.
Work with designers and engineers to make the product look, work, and feel great.
Bring order to chaos by building systems and creating useful structure.
Help decide what we build next with the founders, using research, experiments, and your own judgment.
What we’re looking for
Strong visual and interaction design skills, shown through consumer products you’ve shipped.
A clear point of view and willingness to disagree with a founder. You can tell the story behind your work and explain your thinking simply and clearly.
Openness to other perspectives and willingness to change your mind. Once we agree on a direction, you commit and help make it happen.
Comfort with unclear problems and curiosity to explore beyond the obvious answer.
Confidence using AI tools in your design work, or a commitment to learning. We use the best tool for the job and care about results.
Someone who brings others into the work, shares useful feedback, and listens.
Early-stage, social product, or product-led growth experience is a plus.

Conditions
Remote within Europe, preferably Western or continental Europe.
Lisbon office, with possible support for moving to Portugal.
