Position Overview

You would be part of a team that would be in charge of developing the next generation of the Autodesk Construction Cloud mobile application. The Autodesk Construction Cloud platform is a new and exciting project to enable engineers, architects, superintendents and project owners to view, share, collaborate and perform quality checks on their construction projects and designs.

We are seeking a talented Senior iOS engineer to help this effort by providing strong software design and development expertise in the creation of the mobile platform for Autodesk Construction Cloud.

As a key member of the Mobile Development team, you will have a huge impact on how we design, build and deliver our products to millions of people by using varied and new technologies, while we make sure you don’t forget to have fun along the way! Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with software engineers, product designers, product managers, testing engineers, and others to implement high-quality features and shared components for the Autodesk Construction Cloud mobile application.
- Thoroughly unit test, debug, and solve defects in implemented software solutions.
- Constantly research and adopt new technologies / best practices.
Technical Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience building high-quality iOS apps.
- 3+ years of proven experience with Swift.
- Extensive understanding of iOS framework components and their respective lifecycles.
- Experience with iOS tool ecosystem for development, testing, debugging, and performance benchmarking
- Proficient with the iOS SDK, leveraging it to help you create scalable, dynamic, extensible, and highly performant UI components.
- Experience with reactive programming (e.g. Rx) and DI.
- Experience with Relational database technologies.
- Experience with outside data sources and API’s.
- Experience defining and writing automated testing on iOS as well as incorporating them in a continuous integration environment.
- Hands-on working knowledge of concurrency, threading, client-side persistence and architectural best practices on mobile apps.
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
- High-level understanding of end-to-end systems.
- Advantage - experience working on a large shared code base, being able to contribute code and improve quality and performance.
- Advantage - Hands-on Kotlin coding experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Deep understanding of building and shipping complex product experiences on frequently updated Mobile apps.
- Proven collaboration with product managers, designers and other developers to help create, refine (and even define) products and user experiences.
- Strong communication skills, enjoys working closely with others while being comfortable with independently delivering large business outcomes.
- Ability to communicate with local as well as remote and international teams
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
- Good project-management and time-management skills - the ability to transform a feature request in to a development plan with effort, integration points and milestones.
- Flexibility under changing conditions and ability to multi-task between projects

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location.
