About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Senior Manager to lead our Workday Deployment team. You will be responsible for building and mentoring a high-performing team of deployment engineers, driving delivery excellence and ensuring the successful configuration, implementation, and go-live of Workday solutions that meet the unique needs of our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of exceptional Workday deployment engineers.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of Workday implementation projects, from kickoff through go-live and hypercare.
  • Work closely with customers, project managers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective Workday configurations and deployment plans.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of Workday with customers' existing systems and processes.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement and learning across the deployment team.
  • Evaluate and adopt best practices, tools, and methodologies to accelerate and de-risk Workday deployments.
  • Collaborate with Workday product, support, and partner teams to resolve deployment blockers and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ensure all deployments adhere to data privacy, security, and compliance standards.
  • Implement robust testing, validation, and post-go-live monitoring to ensure a smooth transition and long-term customer success.
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and quality of deployment processes as the team and customer base grow
Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading and scaling technical teams, ideally within Workday, ERP, or enterprise SaaS deployments.
  • Strong track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and to a high standard.
  • Deep understanding of Workday's platform, deployment lifecycle, and configuration best practices (or equivalent enterprise systems experience).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work directly with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • A coaching mindset with a genuine passion for developing talent and building high-performing teams.

About You


Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading and scaling technical teams, ideally within Workday, ERP, or enterprise SaaS deployments.
  • Strong track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and to a high standard.
  • Deep understanding of Workday's platform, deployment lifecycle, and configuration best practices (or equivalent enterprise systems experience).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work directly with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • A coaching mindset with a genuine passion for developing talent and building high-performing teams.

Other Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in software development engineering, defining, implementing, and evolving development processes, tools, and strategies for high-quality software delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; Master's degree preferred or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong understanding of Decision Making processes in managing complex engineering teams and strategic initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of Engineering Leadership principles in leading and directing multiple technical teams.
  • Developing strong Influencing Skills to drive technical direction and organisational alignment.
  • Understanding of Mentorship principles and experience in guiding and developing engineering leaders and team members.
  • Solid understanding of People Management principles for leading large software development organisations and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development principles and their strategic application across multiple teams and projects.
  • Strong skills in delivering Technical Presentations to executive and technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of Technical Project Management principles and experience in managing complex technical programs.
  • Strong Understanding of Requirements and the ability to ensure alignment and execution across multiple teams.

Listed below is the base salary range applicable to this position. Workday pay ranges (and the precise pay offered to the successful candidate) are based on a number of objective criteria such as relevant experience and skills, and educational qualifications, level of responsibility, demands of the role, work location and business need. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants awarded by Workday Inc. Primary Location Base Pay Range: €110,400 EUR - €165,600 EUR Ireland
