Job Description:
Fidelity in Ireland has three legal entities, FISC Ireland, SAI Ireland and FDA Ireland. There are just under 2,000 associates, working across 2 locations (Dublin & Galway), supporting a diverse portfolio of Fidelity business across technology, operations and support functions.
As a Senior Manager of Risk & Compliance, FMR Ireland you will be part of a team who have responsibility and accountability for regional risk and compliance management oversight for the FISC Ireland legal entity. The role will require you to work collaboratively across an extensive volume of cross functional partners within Risk, Compliance and the business. You should be an analytical thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform second line oversight and challenge through formal risk and control assessments, control testing and through regular interactions with Fidelity Corporate Support Functions
- Support other enterprise & governance risk activities as required e.g. Top-Down Risk Assessment and Bottoms Up Risk Assessment
- Support the oversight of regional compliance with enterprise ethics and compliance policies
- Lead and manage compliance readiness assessments across Fidelity Corporate Support Functions
- Take the lead in the delivery of comprehensive management information to senior management including the Risk Committees
- Work with support functions to mitigate, manage and monitor risks across the organization.
- Perform ad-hoc project-based work, including reporting and analyses as the need arises.
- Partner with many cross functional teams across the globe within Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Corporate Support Functions
- Coach and mentor team members to enhance their risk management skills and knowledge.
The Expertise You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., finance, business administration) essential
- Hold extensive experience in operational and enterprise risk management within a financial services environment
- A demonstrated proficiency in Risk assessment tools, Control Testing Methodologies, Scenario Analysis, Risk Appetite documentation, Risk Reporting to senior management and board, KRIs/KCIs identification, documentation and reporting
- An in-depth understanding of the regulatory environment with experience of working in regulations/guidance issued by the Central Bank of Ireland and other independent EU authorities
- Exceptional communication skills and knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies with the ability to impact and influence decisions across the organization.
- Proven track record of coaching, mentoring, and empowering others to deliver
