LearnUpon is looking for a Senior Manager, IT to join our team. This is a hybrid role, working 3 days per week from LearnUpon's Dublin office.

The Senior Manager, IT is responsible for implementing and delivering LearnUpon’s IT systems, ensuring scalability, security and alignment with LearnUpon’s strategic business objectives. This role manages day-to-day IT operations, budgets, vendor relationships, and leads a team of two.

What will I be doing?
  • Support in the development and oversee delivery of LearnUpon’s IT strategic roadmap.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies that can improve business processes and competitive advantage.
  • Manage IT department budget.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of all critical IT infrastructure, including networks, platforms, integrated video-conferencing, etc. spanning all LearnUpon global office locations.
  • Mature LearnUpon’s identity and access management strategy through the use of IdPs, access control measures and role-based automation.
  • Act as the primary technical advisor to senior management and the IT team, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of LearnUpon’s systems and applications to support 24/7 business operations including the development and testing of disaster recovery and Business Continuity plans
  • Manage all hardware and software procurement, licensing, asset management and end-user technical support.
  • Manage key vendor relationships to ensure quality service delivery and optimal pricing for hardware and software.
  • Ensure that LearnUpon’s information security policies are enforced across LearnUpon IT systems.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of growth and development.
  • Oversee resource planning, performance management, training, and professional development for all IT staff.
  • Oversee the implementation of IT projects, ensuring delivery is on time and on budget.
What skills do I need?                                                                                  
  • 10+ years experience in IT with 2+ years in a management / leadership role
  • Strong passion for automation and driving efficiencies through technology
  • Strong working knowledge of modern IT SaaS infrastructure, including networking fundamentals, virtualisation and cloud infrastructure (particularly AWS).
  • Experience in managing IT operations in a fast-paced, SaaS-first, high-growth environment
  • Deep knowledge of MacOS, Okta and other tooling typically seen in SaaS scale-ups..
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve high-priority, complex technical issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills up to and including board-level reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead organizational change and manage the human impact of adopting new technologies.

Not required but considered a big plus
  • A Bachelor Degree (4-year) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related degree.
  • Experience in cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001 and GDPR).
  • Formal program and/or project management experience
