LearnUpon is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in Dublin. This is a hybrid role, working 3 days per week from LearnUpon's Dublin’s office.

Our Finance team is vital to our Company and is responsible for keeping the financial operations of the company running smoothly. 

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a great opportunity for a self motivated individual to join a rapidly growing software company and make significant contributions.

What will I be doing?
  • Lead the month-end close process to tight reporting deadlines, including posting of month end journals for all corporate entities.  
  • Run the consolidation process on Netsuite 
  • Prepare monthly Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly management reporting pack and perform flux analysis 
  • Assist with the preparation of detailed expense analysis, comparisons to budget and breakdown of monthly spend
  • Act as lead for the annual group audit and local statutory audits and compliance 
  • Prepare periodic tax returns for the Irish Entity (Bi-monthly VAT, Quarterly VIES, Annual RTD) 
  • Liaise with external international tax providers to ensure timely and accurate preparation of relevant local subsidiary tax returns
  • Assist with treasury related activities ie monthly entity cash funding, cash forecasting 
  • Support the implementation and documentation of internal controls across the organization
  • Lead finance department process improvement projects 
  • Drive automation and ERP efficiencies 
  • Ad hoc projects and activities 
What skills do I need?                                                                                  
  • A professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA) with minimum of 3 years PQE 
  • Comfortable with multiple entity consolidation and reporting 
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortable taking ownership of the role and responsibilities.
  • Confident with identifying improvements and solutions.
  • A high degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness, with an ability to discover and proactively remedy discrepancies
  • Results oriented, with proven ability to prioritize and deliver quality work in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to execute with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software 
  • Excellent communication skills.
