CEL is an Irish-based manufacturer, distributor, and exporter of electrical switchgear, controls, and related products and services, with a 40-year track record, focused on supplying the global data centre industry.
Operating from Ireland and in support of our 400,000 sq ft of manufacturing capacity in Williamsburg, Virginia, we aim to double in size each year for the next three years.
SAP Business ByDesign is the present system of record for that growth. It runs our Supply Chain, Warehouse, Finance, Project and Production processes, and the quality of what comes out of it depends entirely on how well it is supported day to day. A review of future ERP solutions is part of our digital roadmap to support our scalability.
About the Role
The Senior ERP Specialist holds dual responsibilities: ensuring CEL is maximising the value of its current ERP platform while helping prepare the business for its next generation ERP environment.
In the immediate term, you will focus on strengthening and optimising SAP Business ByDesign across Ireland and the United States. This includes supporting users, improving business processes, enhancing reporting capabilities, maintaining data integrity, supporting system integrations, and driving adoption across multiple business functions.
Alongside the day-to-day ownership of the ERP environment, you will play an important role in evaluating future ERP options that can support CEL's ambitious growth plans. Working closely with stakeholders across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Projects and Engineering, you will help identify where the current platform may become constrained, assess future requirements, and contribute to the planning and delivery of future ERP transformation initiatives.
Success in this role will require a combination of strong ERP expertise, business process knowledge, implementation experience, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to translate complex system capabilities into practical business solutions. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable supporting end users on the shop floor, delivering training sessions, improving business processes, and contributing to strategic discussions about CEL's future systems landscape.
