Job Description
Development is the largest discipline at Endava. Our developers design, build, and release software products in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and libraries. Always collaborating with cross-functional project teams, our developers are adaptable problem-solvers with a client-oriented mindset.
As a Senior Developer at Endava, you will play a key role in developing the core functionalities of the container shipping system for our client, one of the top 10 largest container shipping companies in the world. Your contributions will help meet the rapidly growing market demands by creating innovative solutions using an attractive technology stack. The team employs Extreme Programming (XP) methodology, which involves developers working in pairs and sharing desktop screens to enhance collaboration and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering and analyzing requirements
- Developing and testing complete front-end applications based on requirements
- Writing tested, idiomatic, and documented code; participating in code reviews
- Estimating tasks and participating in team daily sync-ups
- Daily communication with the client through e-mails, conf calls, IM, etc.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in software development (java)
- Experience with Spring Framework
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns
- Experience with REST API design, microservices architecture, and backend integration patterns
- Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, MSSQL, or Oracle, including experience with data modeling and writing complex queries
- Strong understanding of version control systems like Git or similar
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.js
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and responsive design practices
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS)
- Strong analytical skills, systematic approach, and self-reliant in fulfilling daily duties
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English

- Experience with TDD (Test Driven Development)
