Senior Database Developer

PFH Technology are currently seeking a .NET / Database Developer (Senior) in a hybrid capacity for our public sector client.

Location: Flexible - must be available to attend meetings at client sites as required

Excellent Daily Rate – One year contract + Rolling Contract

Background:
Within Technology and Transformation there is a requirement for a suitably skilled .Net /  Database Developer with both coding and  SQL / DBA responsibilities to join the Customer Service Experience (CSE) Service Operations Reporting team.

The successful candidate will be required to support existing systems and processes while also providing strategic input in the areas of application and database design, performance optimization, business continuity and integration with other core systems.
Role:
The hybrid role will mostly revolve around maintenance and development of existing and green field .Net Applications with a secondary requirement to assist in developing and maintaining SQL Databases in an on-prem and Azure environment.

• Design cross platform / hybrid solutions to the highest standards using the best technological fit for the application
  • Engage stakeholders to identify specific requirements and bottlenecks, solve problems
  • Encourage the use of design principles

Relevant Experience

• 3+ Year solution architecture and technical design experience of hybrid on-prem and Cloud
  platform applications.
• Highly experienced C# / Asp Developer (5+ years)
• ICT project delivery and implementation planning
• Experience working with SQL Server
• Experience in Cloud based technologies including
  • Token-based Authentication
  • DevOps and source management techniques in the cloud.
  • Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Azure DevOps etc.
• Leading architecture using modern software engineering and product development tools
• Experience designing and developing Web Applications using AngularJS, HTML, Web APIs
• Ability to establish repeatable processes, best practices and a learning environment for junior developers
• Systems integration and API development
• Architecture and API integration
• Software architecture and design
• IT and information security
• Software development and project lifecycle

Required Skills & Competencies:

• C#, SQL, MVC, Asp.Net
• SQL Server, Oracle
• IIS, RESTful APIs and Cloud infrastructure
• Javascript, HTML, CSS
• Azure, DevOps, CI\CD. Pipelines and Source Control Toolsets

Desirable Skills:

• MS PowerBI
• ITSM experience, Ivanti Service Desk/Ivanti Neurons preferred.
• Cloud Technologies: (Azure SQL, Data Factory, etc.)
• Version Control: Familiarity with tools like Git for database scripts.
• Automation tools like MS Power Automate.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent experience with SQL Server administration and development).

Data Governance & Compliance:

• Experience with GDPR, data privacy, auditing in the public sector/health environment.
