Summary: Reporting to the Associate Director – AML Officer Services, the Senior Associate – AML Officer Services will be an integral part of the team’s success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a great opportunity to join a growing team to increase AML & fund knowledge by being appointed directly to a fund (predominantly alternative funds), working closely with the service providers to the fund to ensure the fund is meeting its AML obligations and attend board meetings to present the MLRO report and respond to queries.

- Build a relationship with all the stakeholders of the funds (Administrator, Client, Board etc.)
- Manage daily, weekly, monthly and annual deadlines applicable to the fund
- Ensure the compilation and delivery of quarterly and annual reports to client fund board by the team
- Provide support to the AML Officer Services Manager
- Assist in the maintenance and updating of team policies and procedures in response to changing regulations and emerging risks
- Ensure all required compliance monitoring is completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Contribute to the design and delivery of training to client boards and maintain logs and records of completion
- Assist in the preparation and submission of any regulatory filings and/or reports on behalf of Waystone’s clients to external competent authorities
- Attend board & client meetings to present on behalf of MLRO/DMLRO where needed to do so
- Develop with the view to eventually being able to act as MLRO/DMLRO and AMLCO of client’s funds
- Assist with the annual review of the Fund Administrator’s and/or Investment Manager’s Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing procedures and controls, as applicable
- Perform periodic testing to verify the Fund’s/Investment Entity’s compliance with applicable AML regulations
- Maintain the training tracker for the team
- Assist with the preparation & tracking of letters of representation from internal administrator and external administrators.

- Collaborate within the wider Waystone group, leveraging technology and internal expertise to promote continuous improvement and to help meet annual targets
Experience:
- Approximately 3 years’ experience preferably in financial services/ fund administration with exposure to AML compliance, preferably in Hedge
- Consistent attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- A good understanding of AML / CFT in a number of jurisdictions, but in particular, Ireland and the Cayman Islands
- Have excellent ability to work with a number of departments in order to achieve goals while building on existing relationships
- Exceptional presenting capabilities
- Effective communication skills at all levels
Education:
- University degree preferably specialising in law, business or regulation
- Professional qualification (such as ACOI, AML qualification) desirable but not required
