Job Description

This role shall assist the Business Operations Controls Function to support the management of the Business Review Group (“BRG”), a form to oversee New Business mandates. Tracking of mandates from proposal to launching, providing challenge and ensuring adherence to documented Controls and assisting in escalation and issue solving to minimize operational risk.

This role is a unique opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the business and to be involved in supporting senior members of the Controls function, who sit within the 1st Line of defence.

Core Responsibilities

Reporting to the Global Head of Controls (“GHOC”), your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Coordination of new and existing mandates to be presented to the BRG at twice weekly meetings, ensuring timely and complete information is provided.
  • Reviewing of New Business documents to identify operational complexities / risks which need to be considered
  • Attendance at the BRG.  Record and track to closure of Action Points identified to a satisfactory resolution, ensuring all records are documented in a concise and clear manner.  Escalating where required.
  • Assist in the development and governance of the BRG process, related procedures and digitalised BRG documents - NBQ, Cover Sheet, associated cost models where necessary.
  • Attend Hand Off meetings from Sales to Business and Go Live Meetings for onboarding clients, tracking known issues to closure and identifying and documenting risks.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly reporting to the Business Operations Committee (“BOC”)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the Business such as Sales, Client Service Managers, Client Integration, Compliance and Legal to ensure smooth on-boarding of new funds.
  • Escalating identified significant operational risks to the GHOC.
  • Develop a knowledge of our service offerings, systems and processes.
  • Help with other Control function matters including incident management and ad hoc projects, contributing to the team effort

Hours are between 9:00am - 5:30pm Dublin

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the funds industry
  • Third Level qualification / College Undergraduate Degree.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbal English and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills with strengths in Microsoft Office products and Power Bi.
  • A self-starter who is willing to learn, to listen to others and is approachable and collaborative.
  • Strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
